2019: 250 police trained on crowd mgt


Two hundred and fifty personnel of the Nigerian Police Force have been trained on how to effectively ensure public order and manage crowds during the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
Speaking during the training yesterday in Kaduna, the Commandant, Nigerian Police College, Kaduna, C.P Lawan Ado, said the training was aimed at ensuring high display of professionalism amongst the police officers during the forthcoming general elections.
A former governor of Bauchi State, Major-General Chris Garuba (rtd), said the 250 police officers were drawn from different commands for the training including Kaduna, Plateau, Katsina and Kano states.


He said the training for personnel in Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ekiti and Ondo Commands will hold in Lagos and would later be extended to other parts of the country.
