WHY TYRES BURST ON THE HIGHWAY
Please read this carefully..I got it from a friend
Many people have been wondering what could be the cause of the incessant tyre burst accidents on Nigerian roads. The major cause is that we put to much pressure in our tyres. How did I know?
I was preparing for a journey, I changed some of my tyres and I asked the vulcanizer that ' what is the recommended tyre pressure? ' He said 50. I said alright, he should inflate it to 50 all round.
When I got to where I was going, I was discussing with some ppl on the issue of the minister that died on the road due to a burst tyre and wonder what could have happened because nobody could imagine a minister would be travelling with expired tyres as many would think is the major cause of tyre burst.
A man ( lived in US for many years ) said that the major cause of tyre burst in Nigeria is that we put to much pressure in our tyres and that each car has recommended tyre size and pressure clearly written on it by the manufacturer. I was surprised and begged him to come and show me where it's written on my car. To my greatest surprise, it's by the drivers door which I enter everyday without noticing it. By the time we checked, the recommended pressure for my tyres is 32! and I just traveled with tyres on a pressure of 50! He took me round his compound and showed me that of the cars (which includes a jeep and a sienna) there, the highest was 32. some were even 29!
He further explained that tyres are made of rubber and expands at high temperature. So, when yu are travelling in the afternoon when the asphalt on the road is hot, the tyre will want to expand. If the pressure in the tyre is to much and wouldn't accommodate the expansion, a burst is likely to happen at that time.
Pls check the recommended tyre pressure for your vehicle and others you know.

TIWA SAVAGE SPEAKS, I WAS COVERING UP, MY MARRIAGE IS OVER
https://youtu.be/O22u_FUkmu8
Tiwa Savage clearly has a lot to say concerning her failed marriage.
In an emotional interview exclusively obtained by Pulse, the singer says she never knew of his third child here in Nigeria.
According to her,
"Before marriage, I didn’t know of his third child in Nigeria. A lot of people warned me about him, but I am going to say I made a mistake. At the beginning everyone says you can’t leave the marriage because our culture frowns on it. I made a mistake, do I have to wait ten years, 15 years?
If I am not happy. And I was scared that if I ever find somebody else to marry me? That’s the misconceptions of our society. I don’t care if I ever get married again. I care about being happy for Jamil, I care about not walking on eggshells.
I do want a man that works, that will help me with my financial burden. He doesn’t have to be a millionaire or billionaire, but at least someone that helps, and won’t put me in more debt."
Speaking more on her marriage troubles, she said,
"The marriage is finally over, it’s been over for a while, and I have covered up for a while. What happened was God-sent, and he made it easier for me to walk away with what he did on social media. He got so many people angrier, he pulled so many innocent people into this. Even his family. He made it easy for me to finally up and walk away."
Savage pouring out her heart in the interview, revealed TeeBillz never cared, was unconcerned about her health even when she got pregnant and lost the baby.
TREAT GUNSHOT WOUNDS BEFORE POLICE REPORT - El Rufai
Malam Nasir Ahmad El-rufai-proffers-two-year-jail-term.html, Governor, Kaduna State, has directed all hospitals in the state to treat persons with gun wounds and accident victims before demanding police reports. The governor said that the duty to save lives is primary, and must come ahead of formal reports to the police.
The spokesman to the Governor, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this in a statement shortly after the 15th Kaduna State Security Council meeting held in Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.
“The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has directed all hospitals in the state to,with immediate effect, start treating persons with gunshot wounds and accident victims without demanding Police Report as a basis for attention. Lives must be saved first, before the formalities of demanding Police Reports from victims.
After saving lives, hospitals and other agencies can start making inquiries regarding how the gunshot wounds and other injuries were sustained. We consider it a gross abdication of responsibility if any hospital leaves injured patients unattended because of the absence of Police Reports. What is important is saving lives. There is no reason for an innocent citizen who has survived armed robbery and needs treatment for a gunshot wound to be denied the medical attention he requires. The hospitals can comply with reporting requirements to the police after providing the care the patient needs. This is the unanimous resolution of the Kaduna State Security Council. As Governor, I have communicated this decision to the Kaduna State Ministry of Health and Human Services and other concerned agencies operating in the state. A moment of trauma is not the time to put paper before lives. All our healthcare agencies have been advised that it will amount to criminal neglect to deny or delay critical care to such patients.”Aruwan said
The meeting of the Kaduna State Security Council which endorsed the resolution was attended by representatives of the Army, Police, Air Force, Navy, DSS, Civil Defense, FRSC, NDLEA and the Customs service. Also present at the meeting were HRH Alhaji Shehu Idris, the chairman of the Kaduna State Council of Emirs and Chiefs, Emir of Birnin Gwari, HRH Alhaji Zubairu Jibril II and Kpop Gwong, HRH Paul ZakkaWyom.
FLASHBACK :TIWA CONFIRMS BORING SEX LIFE AFTER BABY JAMAL
Mavin singer, Tiwa Savage the proud mother of baby Jamal spoke to newsmen recently about life as a new mother.
The 'Standing Ovation' singer claims that her baby has been nothing short of a blessing to her as he has brought about a sharp increase in her fan base.
"Since I gave birth to my baby my followership has actually grown to 1.4 million on Instagram and twitter respectively. It is growing way faster since I had my baby. I would actually say my baby is a blessing", she said.
Tiwa however agreed that her husband initially complained about her paying too much attention to baby Jamal, and advised ladies to pay close attention to their man, after delivery, she said;
Men often complain that their wives pay more attention to their babies. Are you experiencing that too?
Initially yes, I am not going to lie about that. He wakes up every two hours, you are going to devote all your time to him and your sex life might not be interesting as before. You would have stress, stretch marks too. But eventually for the sake of your marriage I would encourage all women to look after their husbands, especially after having babies. It is very important.
Tiwa Savage also revealed in the interview that she will be dropping another video for 'If I Start To Talk' featuring Dr Sid, which is one of her tracks in her latest album RED.

FRIENDS OF TIWA SAVAGE FIGHT BACK
''Hello,
I'm an avid reader of your blog and i just wanted to share my own 2cents on the Tiwa and teebillz matter so my fellow Nigerians can open their eyes on this fiasco.
First of all, i have learnt in life that things are not always what they seem like in the world of celebrities, that's why it's called "show" business, I have no doubt that teebillz was experiencing depression prior to his outburst, but his rant on IG is very typical of an insecure man that abuses his wife physically and emotionally, I am a married man myself and unfortunately I have been in the eye of the storm of other people's abusive marriages; trying to be the peacemaker , from those experiences I have observed that it's common for the man to be insecure and falsely accuse his wife of unproven infidelity , and to never accept responsibility for the failure of his marriage/life.
You will notice that teebillz never took any responsibility for his life; he blamed his father, his mother in law, Tiwa, don jazzy e.t.c. Tiwa savage's career story is an experiment on if a woman can be successful in naija without her husband becoming jealous and insecure, you don't marry a celebrity woman and be expecting her to cook for you or regularly ask you if you've eaten, how reasonable is that? the price of fame is that you don't get to cling to a normal life like everyone else. How come the women that are married to celebrity men never complain about not always seeing their husbands or their constant infidelity?
It's shocking that I was just watching Tiwa's new video "if I start to talk" yesterday and I wondered about the imagery depicted in it; I thought she might be trying to share something about her experience with the world, but a lot of people missed it, there are subtle signs that she is being physically abused in her marriage.
Lastly if teebillz really wanted to commit suicide he wouldn't be so "attention seeking "about it , the best way someone like him can destroy his successful wife is to cater to the emotions of Nigerians with the suicide claim ,why did he rant on IG first? Why did he not go to the bridge and silently jump? How did banky W know he was there?
Why did he not consider a more direct way of dying? (Run into a fast moving car).My people let us open our eyes and stand for justice, I don't care much about Tiwa or teebillz but I know that this whole buhaha is a testament to the mentality of the typical Nigerian man''.
ANOTHER FRIEND WROTE THIS
I hate to do this, and I know you will kill me. But damnit, the truth must be spoken.
only reason why Tunji is doing this is because Tiwa cut him off. For once, he couldn’t get her to give him everything on a silver platter. He tried to intimidate her and for once it didn’t work so he resorted to emotional blackmail. He wanted to destroy her reputation, because he knows things about her that people don’t. Trust me, that is the truth. And it worked; everyone has fallen for it hook, line and sinker. However, Abe Lincoln said “You can fool most of the people most of the time and you can fool some people sometimes but you can’t fool all the people all the time.”
Tunji, those of us close to Tiwa
Those of us who see what you do to Tiwa
Those of us who, unlike you, truly care about Tiwa
WE ARE NOT FOOLED!! WE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT!!
I hesitated to say this because I didn’t want to be perceived as “insensitive”, “callous”, “evil”, even. But then I read all the bullshit people are writing and I knew I owed it to Tiwa to speak up.
Tiwa, we warned you, but you thought we were judging him. You see? You slave day and night to take care of him, his family and his children. And this is how he repays you; by wasting your money on other women, beating you into submission when you don’t and then when you stand up for yourself, he drags your name through the mud, Again, you commenters will kill me, but what yeye depression? Do you REALLY think if Banky W had accidentally pushed Tunji, Tunji wouldn’t have fought for his life? If no one had come, do you REALLY think Tunji would’ve jumped? Haba, Nigerians! WHY ARE YOU SO GULLIBLE?!
Those of us with eyes, we see very clearly. We see through his shenanigans. Unfortunately, Tiwa doesn’t. And she will back down. And it will go back to business as usual; him bullying her and her allowing it. The beatings will continue. The cheating will continue. The lies will continue.
Yesterday, Tiwa released a new song and a new video and got rave reviews. Why would a truly loving husband, a husband who supposedly puts her first, so selfishly chose a period when her career is doing so well to tarnish her image like this? If he was depressed (bullshit), why didn’t he quietly reach out to other people? Does a good husband beat his wife black and blue? Does a good husband defraud his wife? Does a good husband fool the world into believing despicable lies about his wife? Does a good husband go about looking for rich men to sleep with his wife?
MAY Allah REWARD US ALL ACCORDING TO OUR ACTIONS ON THIS EARTH

LIRS ENGAGES 1200 TAX AUDIT PROFESSIONALS
In its drive to ensure full maximization of its revenue generating potentials, and to commence tax Audit exercise of 2016 in earnest, the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service ((LIRS) has engaged 1200 members of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) as Tax Audit Monitoring Agents (TAMAs).
The TAMAs are authorized to act as agents of LIRS for tax audit and assurance purposes. The LIRS carried out a review of the appointment and operational procedure of the TAMAs in order to enhance efficiency in its audit exercise.
Their duty would be to collect requisite information during tax audit field exercises, collate, prepare and submit tax audit reports based on the facts gathered for use by the LIRS.
A workshop was organized for the agents at The Haven Event Centre, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.
Present at the workshop were the Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Mustapha Akinkunmi; Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Finance, Honourable Oluyinka Ogundimu; Executive Chairman of LIRS, Mr. Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, and other management staff of the agency.
Mr. Ogunsanwo implored the TAMAs to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism.
"We believe you will demonstrate a high sense of responsibility and integrity in this noble assignment in line with international best practices as we hope to improve the internally generated revenue of the state and ultimately engender a sustained culture of voluntary compliance amongst tax payers in Lagos.
“I have no doubt in my mind that your professionalism will be of tremendous value during this year's exercise and beyond," Ogunsanwo said.
The revised Tax Audit Manual was also formally presented which highlights the systematic steps of auditing as well as ethical standards and codes in line with international best practice.
“The TAMAs at the Training undoubtedly emerged to be the best in the stock of applications that we received. The selection process was quite painstaking and took into consideration a number of preconditions, professionalism and track records in the most vital areas,” said the Board Secretary of LIRS, Mr. Jimi Aina.
Advising the TAMAs at the workshop, Director, Tax Audit, Mrs Bolaji Akintola, said, “The Image and reputation of LIRS is key in tax audit, therefore we charge you to stand for what LIRS stands for, by avoiding any form of compromise, illegality, unprofessional conducts and shunning all under the table transactions.
“Under the existing LIRS rules, erring agents may be delisted, prosecuted and reported to their professional bodies for further disciplinary actions."
The venue of the event was filled to capacity as about 1000 Audit Field Staff of LIRS were also trained in the afternoon session of the seminar for the purpose of optimization and capacity building.
"LIRS values its tax payers very much, they are seen as the goose that lays the golden egg. We therefore charge our agents to deal with them courteously and within the confines of Tax Audit Manual and Personal Income Tax Act (ITA)," Mrs Akintola concluded.

Economy Downturn: We Need Spiritual Rebirth As A Nation- Otunba Gani Adams
The Chief Promoter of Olokun Festival Foundation, Otunba Gani Adams, today at the annual 'Wealth Festival' held in Powerline, Agege,Lagos advised the Federal Government to seek spiritual solution to the present economic woes.
According to Adams," Now is the time to appreciate Aje, the deity that is in charge of fortunes and prosperity. It is apparently the most sought- after in life and God, the Supreme being has created a kind of unique spiritual affinity between man and wealth.
In the developed world, they make adequate spiritual consultations before embarking on any developmental projects. This is the truth, because they research into the spiritual realm, mainly to have a clear - cut idea of what to do, how to do it, and when to do it in the physical world. And What this means in the real sense of it is that they know for certain that they can only succeed in whatever they do by aligning first with the spiritual world, before the physical world. That is food for thought for Nigeria and Nigerians. It is sad that Nigeria could be in this situation, despite its huge human and natural resources that are abound all over the country. It is an Irony of fate that Nigeria's budget keeps increasing annually, yet there is little to show for it. And the truth is: We have lost touch with the spiritual realm, we believe wrongly in the ability of our leaders.
But even at that, this is my modest proposal to the Federal government. The global economic crisis and the eventual fall of the oil prices in the world market is a strong indication that we can not continue to be over-dependent on oil.God has really blessed us as a nation, we have to explore our tourism potentials by creating wealth, thus, using what we have to get what we want. Now that the present situation continues to bite hard on the people, we have to look inward.
At a time like this, We need spiritual rebirth. We need spiritual transformation. We need to align with our roots and seek spiritual enlightenment as a nation. Let us seek the face of Eledumare and go back to our roots.Let us appreciate our God- given wealth and natural endowments.Let us revive our cultural heritage and tradition, Let us promote our local languages. This is our true cultural identities as a people, we can only make meaningful progress as a nation if we go back to our roots. God has blessed us with every thing that can help us grow as a nation, but we abandoned it, we never appreciate what we have until we lose it that is the tragedy of our nation".
Speaking further, he opined that by celebrating Aje festival today,Agege community that hosts us today will definitely experience economic boom.Aje festival celebration will definitely, translates to economic growth and development in Agege and its environs. More importantly, as we celebrate Aje festival today,we are reclaiming our lost glory, at the same time, we are saying good bye to lack and poverty. As we celebrate wealth today, we are spiritually blessed with richness and abundance. The Festival attracted members of Oodua People's Congress, Oodua Progressive Union, (The Yoruba Organisation for Yorubas in diaspora). It had in attendance HRM Oba Ambaliu Hakeem Agbedeyi1, the Alayoge of Orile-Agege,HRM Oba Adeyemi Akanbi, Oba Orisa of Benin Republic, Chief T Jaji, Baale of Allen, Chief TN Bakare, Baale of Omole,Prof. Kolawole Raheem of University of Education,Ghana, Dr. Adesanya Ahmed of the department of African Languages,Literatures and Communication Arts Lagos State University, Chief Akeem Muraina, Baale of Ifako,Prince Kunle Adeyemi,Akogun Gani Kayode Balogun,Publisher GKB News, Orile Agege Council of Chiefs and several others.

PAPA WEMBA DIES AT 66
The influential Congolese music star Papa Wemba has died after collapsing on stage in Abidjan in Ivory Coast, media reports say.

French broadcaster France 24 confirmed the death, quoting his manager.
On the African music scene since 1969, Papa Wemba won a world music following with his "rumba rock".
He inspired a cult movement known as the Sapeurs whose members, young men, spend huge amounts of money on designer clothes.
In 2004, he was convicted in France of a role in an illegal immigration racket and spent three months in prison.
He remained one of Africa's most popular musicians.

Herbalist Refuses To Be Used To Test Efficacy Of Charm
A mild hilarious drama played out at the headquarters of the Special Armed Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, when a suspected armed robber, Fuwad Azeez, arrested by the police, who was said to have prepared protective charms for members of the gang against bullets and knives, vehemently refused to be used as a guinea pig to test the efficacy of the charms.
According to The Sun, Azeez, son of a herbalist, was arrested on April 19, 2016 by policemen attached to Denton Divisional Police for carrying arms in public. His arrest came after the leader of the gang, Kareem Idris alias Aloma, led his team members, namely Ramon Sanusi alias Osharemon, Jinadu Mufta alias OmoBaale Okobaba, Damilola Small Poly, Muis Alaka, Gafari, Ganiu Garbazine, Ayeke, Azuri Kadri and Toyibu on a successful robbery operation at Moonshine Hotel, Obalende on April 8, 2016, where they carted away valuables and money from both workers and lodgers.
Following a tip-off, the police stormed the hotel and caught seven of them while three others escaped. In the course of interrogation, at the SARS office, Kareem Idris allegedly recounted how members of the gang met on a football field with Azeez.
They told him to prepare protection charms for each member of the gang. Fuwad, 22, a native of Iseyin, Oyo State, was said to have learnt the art of black magic from his father.
He promised to do a good job if they would allow him join the gang.
Having secured their approval, Fuwad made charms for protection for every one of them against cutlasses, bullets, bottles and
other dangerous weapons.
However, the drama played out when Sunday Sun asked which member of the gang would like to test the potency of the charm against a gunshot or a machete cut.
All seven of them, including Fuwad, who prepared the charm vehemently refused to be a guinea pig for the purpose of testing the efficacy of the charm.
Kareem also said they had been stealing items like phones, laptops and other valuables for a long time, which they later sold.
Meanwhile, Ramon Sanusi, who is a foot
soldier of the Eiye Confraternity and an indigene of Ogun State who said that he started stealing in 2012, revealed that through the money he got from robbery operations, he had purchased four guns.
As at the time of their arrest, the gang members were caught with one locally made pistol, two live cartridges and some of the charms made by the gang member.
However, investigations are ongoing while efforts have been doubled to track down the other members of the gang still at large.
