OBEY TRAFFIC RULES TO AVOID GOING TO JAIL- Dele ODULE, TAMPPAN President


As Lagos State traffic mobile courts begin sitting , Omo'oba Dele Odule, President, Theater Arts and Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPPAN, has commended Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for his resolve to restore sanity and safety to Lagos roads .
 

Odule who spoke at a symposium in Lagos recently appealed to Lagos residents especially members of his association to adhere strictly to traffic laws.
'TAMPAN stands with Lagos State Government on the steps taken to bring sanity to the roads, the introduction of mobile courts is a welcome development that will in the long run curb senseless and wasting of lives due to avoidable accidents which have become a minute by minute occurrence in the past few years now."
He applauded Governor Ambode for placing priority on human lives in the state, advising the state government to intensify efforts on other areas that will be of immense benefit to Lagosians and visitors.
On Monday 8 February, Lagos State inaugurated the Mobile Courts to prosecute traffic offenders across the state.
Some of the traffic contravention that could lead to forfeiture of vehicles and various jail terms include driving against traffic, riding of motorcycle on median or road setbacks, smoking while driving and driving without valid driver's license.
