Igbo Community in Kogi state gets New administration


Capt. Maximus Okochi (Rtd) has pledged to improve the standard of living of the Igbos living in Kogi.

The president who was inaugurated as president on the 24th of November Made the pledge to news men in Lokoja on Saturday.

In his words "my assumption as the Igbo president is one of the most memorable day in my life, i prayed God to grant me wisdom and integrity to lead the great people, the most republican race on earth”

Some of his promised agendas are 

* Moving the Igbo comprehensive Secondary school to its permanent site

* Boosting Football among Igbo youths.

* Introducing poverty alleviation programs

* Partnering with national inland water ways authority so as to enhance maritime transportation on Lokoja-Onisha water ways and a befitting secretarial for the community.

He advised all the members of the association and the general public to offer useful advice to the association and executive if the need be

He pledged to work with his co-aspirant Chief Ozo Emma Dilibe, and promised that his advice would be welcome and appreciated anytime

He concluded by showing his gratitude to God and man, both past and present Igbo elders for their contributions to development of the association
