APPLAUSE AS ASIWAJU ROTIMI AJANAKU BECOMES THE VICE PRESIDENT OF IDPM



 A leading and fastt growing professional body in Nigeria, Institute of Data Processing Management (IDPM) on Saturday inducted Alhaji Adamu Garba, Asiwaju Otunba (Dr.) Rotimi Ajanaku as President and Vice President of the governing council for the institute.

The newly inducted President of IDPM , Alhaji Adamu Garba is the CEO IPI Group limited, he was also an aspirant for Nigeria President under All Progressives Congress (APC) but lost out in the primaries to President Buhari in 2019.

Meanwhile the Vice President, Otunba Dr Oluwarotimi Solomon Ajanaku who was born in the ancient city of Ibadan to the family of Ajanaku of AJANAKUS compound in Okepopo, Lagos Island.



Rotimi Ajanaku has Diploma in statistics, Bsc in Economics. In furtherance to his education, he studied Law and also obtained a professional degree in Management and Leadership Development from Westminster University in the United Kingdom. 

Also, Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku holds an honorary doctor of science from the European American University.

He is the Managing Director of DuxOil Nigeria Limited an indigenous Oil and Gas company and Dino Properties. He joined politics under the late Governor of Oyo state Alhaji Lamidi Adesina and presently a leader in Nigeria ruling party APC.

He established the Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku Foundation (ORAF) which empowers youths across Nigeria and West Africa.


When you encounter Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku, a businessman, socialite and the Asiwaju Odo O’odua of Yoruba Land which was conferred to him at the palace of the Ooni of Ile Ife by his His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, you can easily conclude that he is a child of destiny. Even if you pretend not to be interested in his humble beginning, his rising profile will catch your attention, undoubtedly.

In reminiscence, when he started little, involving in buying and selling, not a few jeered at him, while some others also made him the anvil of their sneer attacks but today due to hardwork, perseverance, and strong faith in God, he owns one of the biggest real estates in the country, and a thriving business that cut across hospitality, transportation, oil and gas, agriculture and real estate.


As a result, IDPM deemed it fit to appoint the duo as President and Vice President of the institute governing council and they will be in charge for the next 3-4years.

Speaking after the induction, Alhaji Adamu Garba thanked the institute and promise to take them to greater heights with the support of his vice.

Adamu who is specialised in data collection and processing urged Nigeria government to tap into the institute wealth of ideas and methodology use appropriate data collection techniques and solve the nations problem.

Rotimi Ajanaku on his part promise that hef and other member of the governing council will make sure the institution certificate is more acceptable both home and abroad.

He also promised to erect a well furnished data building for the institution.

It is also worthy of mentioning that the Institute of Data Processing Management (IDPM) of Nigeria stands for Effective Data Processing and System Management. It is a professional body which is recognized under the companies and Allied Matters Decree 1, of 1990. It is the Nigerian counterpart of IDPM London, now known as the Institute for Management of Information System (IMIS). The IDPM (Institute of Data Processing Management of Nigeria) programme is designed to ease the process of knowledge and skill upgrades. It is particularly useful to employees with lower qualifications who wish to upgrade their knowledge and skill in order to move up the corporate ladder.
