The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, SAN on Monday signed an Executive Order to provide for compulsory reporting of actual and suspected Child Abuse and Establish a Sex Offenders’ Register in the State, stating that the case of Child and Women Abuse would only disappear by the collective actions of all stakeholders.
The Governor who spoke at the Banquet Hall of the Lagos House, Ikeja before a gathering of several Women Rights Groups and Non- Governmental Organizations, added that the Government believes that it was not enough to just sign an Executive Order but to ensure that that the stakeholders also take ownership of the new provision.

A source close to the family 
told LIB exclusively that 
the late Mr. 

Okoye recently had a 
successful knee surgery and 
was about going for 
physiotherapy when he just fell. 
So sad. 
May his soul rest in peace...Amen.

Presidential Ticket Splits APC In North

The failure of the northern caucus of the All Progressives Congress to broker a deal among contenders for the party’s presidential ticket has widened the gap among supporters of the aspirants in the North.

As at last count, four out of the five aspirants are northerners. They are Maj. Gen.Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, the Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso and the publisher of Leadership Newspaper, Sam Ndah-Isaiah.

Out of this number, Buhari and Kwankwaso hail from the North- West, Atiku hails from the North- East while Ndah- Isaiah is from the North- Central.

Solomon who is also a frontrunner in the 2015 Lagos State gubernatorial race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja said the police attack on the federal lawmakers was the height of executive lawlessness and interference.
